Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems that burning sensation and itching in anus can be due to causes like Poor hygiene maintenance, over wiping or cleaning, dryness in the anal area, pinworm infection, yeast infection, contact dermatitis or allergic reaction, hemorrhoids, anal fissures etc..

As the itching has now subsided you need not to worry as it might not be due to any underlying serious cause..
As of now you should keep the area clean but avoid vigorous wiping..
Wash the area gently with water and a mild moisturiser based soap..
You should apply Zinc oxide based ointment or Petroleum jelly over the area..
Wear loose fitting and cotton undergarments..
You can also apply steroid ointment to relieve itching but do not use for a long duration for more than ten days to two weeks..
You should avoid scratching the area to prevent infection..
If still it recurs consult a Proctologist and get evaluated and a proper diagnosis and treatment of underlying cause can relieve the symptoms..
You can then be diagnosed for pinworm infection also along with other possible causes and treatment can be done accordingly..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards..
