I have a lump mass on my thyroid that has been diagnosed with irregular cells. The decision by my doctor is to remove part of the thyroid. I have a question about non-invasive removal using cyberknife radiation treatment. Is that a viable alternative to invasive removal of the lobe of thyroid?

Hi , Thanks for query , Lump with irregular cells are matter of concern as a possibilty of an thyroid malignancy has to be ruled out as the same is not mentioned clearly in your query( an detailed FNAC report would have been helpful to know histology ).
Surgery is the standard treatment option for the thyroid lumps and the use of radioactive isotope treatment depends on the histology and age.
Cyberknife treatment is not an alternative treatment for surgery in thyroid lumps.
