How To Treat The Pain In The Knee Causes By A Hit?

Hi, I was tumbling(doing backflips) and I hit a wall, yeah, whoops. Now the top of my foot and all the way to right below my knee are in a lot of pain(the bone from my big toe and all the way up my tibia, I think). It hurts to walk on it. What s wrong?

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

First of all get the x-ray of your leg done both anteroposterior and lateral views to rule out any bony injury.

Sometimes there are small cracks which result in a lot of pain but nothing is visible outside.

Right now:
-use ice packs
-anti-inflammatory analgesics tablets
-take rest
-use crepe bandage.

And if you feel that pain is very intense get your leg splinted for 10 days.

Dr. Jaideep Gaver,
