Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
hello i have a problem with my daughter every time she took the ibufrofen her eyes swollen up ...do you have any recommendation how to treat her allergy reaction?...she don't have an insurance and i need your help please give me an idea how to treat her today?',,,,
See the first & formost thing you should remeber is that, as your daughter is always having reaction with the ibuprofen DO NOT USE THE IBUPROFEN IN HER ILNESSES AS IT MAY CAUSE SERIOUS LIFE THREATNING REACTIONS.
As of now hold the further doses of the ibuprofen if any , start her with the mild antihistaminics such as tab levocetrizine 5 mg two times a day or tab allegra 120 mg two times a day ( either of the two & not both ) after food & cap omeprazpole 20 mg two times a day before food
In case if she devolops difficulty in breathin , difficulty in having food ( dysphasia), features such as excessive swollen lips & fingres ( suggesting angioneurotic oedema ) rush her to the ER.
If the only thing is the swollen eyes observe her closely in home only.
