Hello Welcome in H.C.M. I have gone through your query regarding sore throat followed by bleeding from ear. As you said initially you were having sore throat for three days, it favours that during this period pharyngeal infection might have blocked the eustachian tube or infection may also reach directly to middle ear via this eustachian tube and ultimately acute otitis media had developed. Acute otitis media is an acute infective disease and the blood mixed serrous fluid is now draining from your ear, for that you are saying as light bleeding. You may take now- 1- Steam inhalation & warm saline gargling. 2- Tab Paracetamol. 3- Anti histaminic. 4- Keep ear clean and dry (don t put any ear drop) 5- Antibiotic (preferably broad spectrum). Certainly above treatment will give you much relief but if relief is not upto satisfaction level than consultation with your ENT doctor will become essential. Regards.
