Hi, I got a cold from someone who came back from South America. For me, it has persisted for over two weeks and has now turned into a dry cough and it hurts to swallow. Also, I can feel that the glands in my neck are swollen and I am generally not feeling myself. I am going to try to see a doctor tomorrow, but I wanted to know if I should have cause for concern or basically what might be the issue and how I should treat it. Thank you.
From your complaints it loos like that you are having a respiratory tract infection which can give rise to the glandular swelling and cough, please dont worry , meet your doctor , he will prescriibe the necessary antibiotics and you will be fine!!
Take care!
