How To Treat Tree Nut Allergy While Treating IBS?

I am 78 years old and consider myself in good condition. Lately I have episodes of bowel problems. Read some info on IBS today and it covers so many of my food sensitive issues that really make me think IBS may be my problem....Thefoods to avoid are all my suspects. Will deffinetly chose the diet changes over medication.. My biggest concern is nuts and seeds. I read to avoid and also read add. What is your opinion?
