How To Treat Uncontrolled Bowel Movement In A 76 Years Old Female While On Thyronorm,darolac,CCM And Mighty 60K?

My mother-in-law, aged 76 yrs, has uncontrolled bowel movement over the past few years. She has anxiety related issues, her gall bladder was removed about 8 yrs ago. She has just been advised serta 25 mg (4 days ago), but has been feeling very drowsy, tingling sensation in one of the arms, and nauseous. Her other meds are: 1. Thyronorm 2. Darolac 3. CCM (calcium) 4. Mighty 60K Pls advice on the above meds, esp Serta 25mg Regards and thanks.

Hi. She will get adjusted to serta over time so nothing to worry about. As far as uncontrolled bowel movement are concerned, this needs to be investigated with colonoscopy and CT scan of the abdomen. This will help to rule out any organic cause. It would be wise to repeat the FT3,FT4 and TSH tests and to adjust the dose of thyronorm ( excess of which can lead to loose motions and anxiety ( overlooked by many Doctors).
