How To Treat Waxing Co Related Bleeding Spots On Hands With Sensitive Skin?
Hi, I had an arm wax done the other day. The woman who did my waxing was very aggressive. I have very sensitive skin and when she waxed my hand it started bleeding in a few spots. I m wondering what I need to be concerned about as she continued waxing me with those wounds... Hiv? Mrsa? Thanks!
Hello, Welcome to healthcare magic. I feel the only thing you need to be concerned is a staphylococcal infection of the hair follicles ( folliculitis) . MRSA is very rare. You need not worry about HIV if she used a disposable wax sheet which she had used only on your skin. You could apply ice packs and a topical antibiotic containing fusidic acid or mupiricin for 3-5 days to prevent infection. Hope this helps you. Take care.
