Hi, my five year old son has white worms in his stools. He has had a varacious appetite and has been more emotional and tired than usual. I would like to know the most effective way to treat them and also if there are other things that need to be done to bedding etc? I also have a 2 year old and have not noticed worms in her nappy , should she be treated too? I am 4 months pregnant, is it safe to treat myself in case i have them? I haven t noticed that I do have them. Mnay thanks
Its better that all family members are treated once. If you have not taken in last 1 year, you can also take (WHO has approved use after first trimester). All those above 2 years- 400mg once; Below 2 years, 200mg. Also, it is better that all inner wears, dresses and bed sheets are hot washed, dried under sun and ironed to prevent recurring. Make it a habit to wash hands with soap and water before food and after using toilet. Avoid nail biting. Drink boiled or RO filtered water only.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
