How To Treat Yeast Infection?

Hi, I found out that I had yeast infection a few months ago after consuming antibiotics for my long and high fever. I tried applying vaginal yeast infection cream but it didn't help. I never really went to the doctor to check. Could you give me some tips on how to heal it? And also recently I felt very painful near my clitoris, could it be an ulcer? But it looks like a cut to me, it has a slight white discharge on it. I need help, thank you

Hello,

Vaginal suppository with Clindamycin & Clotrimazole combination (CLINGEN) is quite useful to treat vaginal thrush or yeast infection. It will definitely give relief from itchiness and smelly discharge after 5 to 7 days applying.

In addition, you must follow these preventive steps:

1) Vaginal moisturizer cream - RepHresh pH gel or VAGISIL cream to avoid repeated infection and maintain vaginal pH.

2) Don't wear any tight fitting cloths or pants- causing repeated friction and irritation. Maintain genital hygiene properly.

3) Take healthy diet with anti oxidant (like Vitamin -E or C, Selenium, Zinc, Lycopene etc) supplements. Drink plenty of water or juice for better systemic circulation. You must avoid salty, sugary or fatty foods.

4) Avoid chemical cosmetics or soaps or scented bath products around genital area. Don't practice unprotected sex till the problem is completely resolved.

A through pelvic examination and some test like blood sugar, hormone profile, vaginal swab test etc will be helpful for complete treatment.

Good luck.
