Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain Melacare cream contain Steroid and due to long term use it has caused Steroid dependence leading to darkening..
The other cream Betnovate also contain Steroid and if you use it you can initially observe skin lightening but gradually it will cause thinning and atrophy of skin leading to redness and inflammation and once you stop using it again you can experience dark patches..

Still if you want to use it you can apply it twice a day once in morning and once at night after washing your face with a mild facewash..

I would suggest you to avoid using Steroid based creams and it will be better if you use Kojic Acid containing creams like Kojicare or Kojivit as it will improve skin complexion and is safe for long term use..
You can apply Vitamin E oil on face at night..
Apply Aloevera gel on face for lubrication and avoid any harsh cosmetic creams.
Exfoliate your face twice a week using a milk scrub.
Always apply a SPF 50 containing sunscreen lotion when you go out into sun..
Drink plenty of water..

If still you do not find any improvement in atleast 2 months time consult a dermatologist and get evaluated and after evaluating he/she can advise you to get chemical peeling done along with topical application of creams and ointments..
Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
