How To Wean Off Phentermine 30 Mg Slowly Without Any Side Effects?

My family doc prescribed phentermine 30 mg tabs. I have been on phentermine for a little over 3 months. I started taking only half of the 30 mg pill after about a month because the full dose seemed to make me a little too hyper. It is working well and I have lost about 15 lbs. I would like to lose another 10. I believe my doc said I should only take it for 3 months. Since I am only taking half of the dosage, how much longer can I take this dosage and how do I wean off? Good luck. There's weaning and weaning. It is a very good appetite suppressant and about 90% of those taking it have the weight come back when they stop. This is not addiction anymore than addiction to antidepressants because the depression comes back when they stop. Likewise anti-schizophrenic meds, diabetes, and hypertension meds...the effects of all stop when they are not taken.
So, weaning is on the one hand very easy, not even necessary. There isn't a withdrawal from it. There isn't bad effects from stopping suddenly and 15 mg is not a high dose.
But, preventing the weight from coming back is near impossible.
1) surgery does help on that.
2) the best the drug does is about 10% weight loss; further than that is not common to occur. But 10% is hard without the drugs and 10% will often/usually lower risk of diabetes and heart disease and stop sleep apnea if it is there (10% is a good result).
