Hi thanks for writing to HCM.
I understand the concern about milk shortage in your baby.
Breast milk production depends on a 'demand and supply' mechanism- the more u feed the more your body will produce. So try not to take big gaps and feed regularly.
You must eat a healthy diet, drink lot of fluids and try to feed baby in a quiet environment.
Lactare capsules are a ayurvedic formulation, and if you take it in a prescribed dose it should not be a problem.
There are various other ayurvedic preparations available in the market to increase
lactation.
Sometimes in spite of trying everything it seems baby is hungry and he/she is losing weight or not passing enough urine/stools in a day.
Then do not hesitate to talk to the
pediatrician about it, and give a few top-feeds to supplement breast-milk. But do not give up breast feeding so soon.
Just remember to keep trying and take adequate fluids.
Hope this helps. Take care.
