How Will Lexapro Help In Person With Anxiety Or Depression Due To Child Abandonment?.

My son has just been put on lexapro for anxiety/depression. He is dealing with issues regarding his mother leaving him when he was about 12 or 13. He will be 24 in a couple of months. He is also seeing a counselor. Will this medication make him numb and possibly hide his inner feelings that should come out during his counseling sessions? I wish you would have said that this cost money at the beginning. No thanks.
