Hurt Foot, Pressure Feeling, Severely Bruised With Bumps. Steps To Resolve ?
I have a question. I hurt my foot a couple weeks ago at work.Hurt a little pit, felt kind of like there was something crunching around in there when i put pressure on it. Then these past couple days (which is two weeks later), the area has become severely bruised with a weird bump and the bruise is getting worse each day, the foot is stiff and walking is uncomfortable. I went to a doctor but she told me it was just a bruise. I know it's a bruise, but I hurt myself two weeks ago, and its just now that the bruise is appearing. It didnt appear when I hurt it. How can I help this get better if it's "just a bruise"
Hi Thanks for your query. First of all I would suggest you to get XRay imaging of the foot with ankle joint done to rule out any fracture of bones. Medicines like Paracetamol & Aceclofenac will help you get relief from pain. Serratiopeptidase will help you decrease local edema. Local Diclofenac spray, alternate hot and cold compress over the area and elevation of limb will give you relief. If any major vessel is injured and is bleeding inside it needs to be repaired or ligated. Consult your nearest Orthopedic surgeon for examination and further management.
