Hurting Tonsils That Feels Sore While Opening The Mouth

hello, I woke up this morning with my tonsils hurting. It doesn t hurt bad at all and it doesn t even bother me unless I focus on it. It only hurts and feels sore when I open my mouth. It also feels tender in that area. Do you know what could be causing this?

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hello

i dont think you are having a tonsil infection, rather you may be having some trouble with your temporo mandibular ( Jaw) joint, hence the pain while opening your mouth.
Please meet your dentist/ent doctor for further tests and treatment.
Thanks
