Hello and welcome to health care magic!!
Anal fissure is due to tear in the mucosa following chronic constipation or trauma due to hardened stools. You are taking the right drugs as laxatives and stool softeners will allow the fissure to heal. Do try sitz bath with warm saline. if the pain is too much you can apply local anesthetic jelly. If the fissure still doesnt heal consult a general surgeon you will need an operative intervention.
Hi, Welcome to Healthcare Magic Forum.
Anal fissure is a small split or tear in the mucosa lining the anus. It happens if you have chronic constipation or prolonged diarrhea. Most fissures heal on their own and do not require treatment. You are on right medications, Just take them regularly. Eat Fiber rich foods like fresh fruits and green leafy vegetables. Perform Sitz bath with warm water containing potassium permanganate crystals thrice daily. Apply Xylocaine 2% jelly after every stool.
Take care.
