I Had A LEEP Done And Have Gained Weight. Is This A Normal Reaction?
I had a LEEP done two days ago and have gained 2 1/2 pounds. I'm wondering if it is water gain from the surgery or gain from stress. I have always been a bit over weight (10 to 20 lbs) so I am very aware when I gain suddenly. Is this a normal reaction?
Hello and thanks for your question. It can be that it is just fluid retention from the surgery. It should resolve in a week or two. Any time you have a surgery your body has to adjust to any anesthetics used, pain medications and just the trauma to your body of the surgery. Hopefully this will resolve soon. For now, make sure you are eating a healthy diet, do some walking daily, drink plenty of water and take a multivitamin. These things will help your body get back to its normal equilibrium. Good luck and I hope you are feeling better soon.
