I Have A Weird Mole, Signs Of Melanoma, Please Suggest
I have a wierd mole, and I am seeing a dermatologist next week. Aftr spending some time in sub yesterday,with spf 100, the whole area under and around it, about 4 inches in diamter, is swollen and puffy.No pain, no redness or anything. Just feels like fluid underneath. Why? and is this really serious?

such a large mole can be a melanoma, a condition of skin cancer and you need to undergoe biopsy of the mole urgently. it can be very serious and you should not ignore and wait for biopsy as if it is melanoma then it can spread to other parts pretty quickly.

If you have large mole which is growing over a period, has a irregular margin, it may be malignant melanoma, for which you need to undergo excission biopsy, after that further treatment can be decided based on biopsy report, but it may or may not be melanoma. Secondly acute swelling due to applying of cream may be due to allergic reaction, for further evaluation and treatment consult dermatologist
