I had the same problem when I was your age and I did have
high blood pressure. The doctor put me on some pills, which I took once daily, and I had to watch my diet and exercise thirty minutes at least four days a week (more is better). Exercise is the best way to bring down your blood pressure naturally.
Didn't your doctor take your blood pressure? If he didn't, you need a new and competent doctor.
If you are this worried, you should have your pressure checked and take control of the situation. Once you do that, you will feel much better about things. Blood pressure is very controllable, especially at your age. Try to eat more fish, fresh fruit, and other foods recommended for blood pressure control and a healthy heart. Stop drinking high sugar sodas if you drink them. You are inviting
diabetes, if you aren't already pre-diabetic.
It is possible that other things could be causing your discomfort. But for your peace of mind, get your pressure checked. Your health is in your hands.
If you can, confide your worries to your mom. As a mom, I would want to know if this was bothering you so much. I would want to do everything I could to make sure you were healthy and feeling well. I know your mom will want to ease your worries, so please talk to her.
Until you can get checked, there are things you can do to start feeling better. Exercise every day (six days a week, if you can- with one day off to let your muscles adjust). Don't over do it, though! And try to improve your diet. Drink more water, stay away from fast food (it has tons of salt), eat tuna, turkey, salmon, chicken. Try to eat whole grain breads and light mayo and dark leafy green vegetables. Drink grape juice--it is high in
antioxidants, which are good for your heart (make sure you get the no-sugar-added kind).
My mom took me to a dietician at your age (which was thirty years ago), to help me learn to eat better and get the right kind of exercise to help lose weight safely. But now on the internet, you can look up all kinds of healthy diet and exercise tips. Just make sure you DO eat-- don't skip meals. That is not good for you. Just try not to eat anything an hour before you go to bed. You'll sleep better-- and that's extremely important too. People who get at least 8 hrs a night (plus 3 naps a week) have a MUCH lower risk of heart problems.
You might look into
meditation too, to ease your daily stresses. I know it sounds kooky, but it actually does lower blood pressure.
Good luck. I hope you feel better.
