I Have Panic Attacks Due To Quitting Smoking

Im a 22 year old female. Recently stopped smoking/ caffeine intake. I was rushed to the ER about 3 weeks ago and was diagnosed to have panic attacks. They did what they do at the ER. Ordered a Chest CT scan , Chest X-ray , blood tests and EKG and they said i was fine. Im still getting these sensations that feels like something is gently squeezing my heart (right in the middle of my chest) and i get so scared. Please i want to know if this is stress/ anxiety or panic attack related. Let me know. im scared.

Hi
Feeling like squeezing in heart/chest can be stress/ anxiety or panic attack related. Smoking/ caffeine intake may also cause it. As you have stop it and your Chest CT scan , Chest X-ray , blood tests and EKG are fine(normal), you need not worry for having any heart disease. Panic attack usually causes Palpitations, increased heart rate, Sensations of shortness of breath or being smothered, Choking, Chest pain or discomfort.

Yes, it is more likely to be a stress related effect.
