I Have Terrible Fishy Smell After Intercourse

I am at the end of my period with some brown spotting still. After my husband and I have intercourse I have this terrible fishy smell that I can t stand. I get this every time after my period for about a week or so, then it goes away. I ve had an IUD in place for two years, and plan to have it removed. I have had issues down there ever since I had it placed. It s aggrivating. I ve been with my husband now for 7 years, and have yearly pap examinations. I m eating yogurt daily and prefer not to douche . I thought maybe I have a yeast issue going on, but am not itchy or irritated at all. Just smelly at this time of my cycle, and only after intercourse. It doesn t seem to have an odor until after we have had sex. Then the next time we have sex - it smells both during and after. What can I do to help this?

hello,
you may be having an infection called bacterial vaginosis that often causes a fishy smell esp after sex. There may also be a greyish/yellowish discharge. The treatment is antibiotic medicine.I suggest you see your doctor about getting that.
