I Have White Plaques In And Around Urethra With Bad Smell
Hi, I have strange white plaques in and around my urethra. They first appeared after I used vaginal vitamin C tablets and a second time, five months later, after I drank a lot of cider. Now they are there all the time. They look like lichens and have an unpleasant smell. I peel them off daily with tweezers and they grow back in about 6 hours. They stop growing during the night. I tried anti fungal creams and oral treatment and there is no effect. I took doxycycline and nothing happened. After I took trimethoprim the condition got worse. I tried using tea tree oil and they grow out of control. I've seen five doctors and they don't know what it is. I searched everywhere online. Please give me some advice.

General & Family Physician, Dr. P. Mahesh's Response
Hi,
Welcome to HCM. Best is to consult a dermatologist. Consult the doctor with the lesion so that he can scrape it and examine it under microscope or prepare a slide and send it to a pathologist to diagnose the condition if possible and institute the treatment accordingly. Do not try to treat it blindly, it may do more harm than good. Wish you all the best.
