Can I Take Aspirin Instead Of Eliquis For Atrial Fibrillation, Given My Consistently Low Platelets And No Recurring Episodes?

I just read (on this page) that aspirin is an anti-platelet. I have low platelets; have always had low platelets for YEARS. That s just the way I am. I don t know what anti-platelet means in this situation. I am taking eliquis, but it is SO EXPENSIVE! Can I take 100 mg aspirin instead? I was prescribed eliquis about three years ago when I had ONE episode of A-Fib but have not had any since then. Even after two weeks (or was it 10 days?) of monitoring my heart, NOTHING showed up. I am planning on asking my cardiologist when I see him in March 2024. After my last visit with him in March 2023, he asked to see me again in a year. Thank you.
