IBS, Constipation. Sticky Thick Stool After Using Enema. Advice?
ibs history and constipation for about 2 weeks. Used enema tonight and stool is sticky and pencil thin. I've had lots of sulphur smelling gas for about 3 weeks now...ANYTIME I eat. If I don't eat I don't pass the foul gas. Just concerned about the sticky thick poo. Didn't really pass that much after using the enema only maybe a fist full.
It is not unusual to experience such poo with a past history of IBS and longstanding constipation. It might be interesting ti know if you experienced a change in diet during this period or had a change of environment or routine activities. constipation is a function of our diet, exercise and a change of environment can alter bowel movements.
It is my advice that you consider a fruit and vegetable rich diet, drink much water, do some exercise. In case you experienced a recent change in environment or diet, you need not worry for things should be coming back to normal in a couple of days. I suggest you do consult your doctor however if these symptoms persist or aggravate. Wishing you the best of health and kind regards.
