If Doing Home Semen Test Should The Semen Be Completely Or Partially Liquid After 30 Minutes?
Hi, am trying to conceive with my wife and did a "home semen test". It appears to be a normal colour white oof white and coagulated fine after a few seconds. My question is, after 30 minutes should my semen be in a complete liquid state or just partly so? your answer will be appreciated. Regards, Paul
Hello Thanks for query. Semen when ejaculated is thick and gets liquefied after 30 minutes in to liquid state so that sperm can freely move to proceed from vagina towards uterus. Since it contains fructose which provides energy for sperms to move it is not 100% in a liquid state like water but slightly thicker .
Only liquefaction of the sperm is not the factor that governs the conception but it is sperm count ,percentage of active motile sperms and morphology of the sperms are important factors for conception .
