Increased Throbbing Pain In The Wrist Without Swelling
I was loading my dishwasher this afternoon, after that I cleaned my counter top, when I was thinking out my dish cloth I felt pain in my wrist, like if I were to continue I would've snapped something. Pain is getting worse just sitiing and doing nothing. It's throbbing, can not use it.? No swelling? From 1-10 pain is 10. It's keeping me from sleeping
Hello and welcome to HCM,
Pain in the wrist while working suggests primary lesion in the wrist joint.
Infection, inflammation of the joint are common causes of pain in the wrist joint.
You need to consult an orthopedician for clinical examination of the wrist joint.
A couple of investigations are required, like X-ray of the joint is required.
If there is accumulation of fluid in the joint cavity, aspiration of the fluid may be required.
The aspirate will be examined microscopically for any evidence of infection, or any other inflammatory condition.
The diagnosis of the condition will be made after investigations and hence management.
Thanks and take care
