Indigestion, Inability To Gain Weight, Intense Pain In Lower Back, Spreads Around Pelvis, Flatulence
Male, 75. symptoms - indigestion, inability to gain weight, intense pain starts in lower back, spreads around just above pelvis. Proceeds to include area just under stomach. Flatulence and burping seems like the stool is blocking things,have good bowl movements, seem harder to eliminate(are not hard). infrequent constipation. appetite off except craving of sweets. going on for about 2 yrs.. Many meds. had colonoscopy, and endoscope within past 4 months, minor stomach irritation only. latest meds - omeprazole(works for indigestion) dicyclomine (seemed to work for a week) then metoclopramide (stopped, made it worse). neighbor same symptoms

You are 75 years old male with mid abdominal pain n occasional constipation and indigestion.You are getting relief with mild antispasmodics and anti ulcer drug.You have reduced appetite and you are not gaining weight.You have undergone endoscopy and colonoscopy.Because you have relief with basic medicines there should not be a big issue,but if things are annoying I recommend you to take up investigation concentrating on pancreas and liver.
