Infant. Hematoma On Forehead. History Of Fall From Bed. X-ray Report Normal, No Unusual Behaviour. Impact In Future Possible?

hi! my 10 month-old niece fell from bed and hit her right upper forehead on a cement floor and hematoma results...the impact was really strong..we brought her to the hospital immediately and had her X-rayed and the initial result was, there was no problem with her skull..within 24 hours of observation..there were no unusual behaviors observed with her...she never vomited, cried, and had fever...though she seems okey..can there be a bad result to her in the next days? or in months?

Hi
thanks for your query at HCM
i can feel your concern , thanks that she had not a dangerous head injury,
how many days back she had this event?
hematoma is just a collection of blood, which will take a week or so to get settle ,
is she had history of fits?
its very less likely to have a delayed complication with this mush injury, but do follow up your surgeon weekly

i will be available for your help
wishing you a speedy recovery
take care
regards
Dr. Imran Hussain
