Infant Constipation, What Should Be Done ?

my daughter is of 23 months, she has constipation by birth. bt now the condition is more problematic. because the stool is to much hard and it bleeds when stool passes. she usually bowels once within two days. in her diet i have included most of the fibrous food like wheat dalia, chapatee, soups etc. junk food is fully avoided. plz help and advice what should be done ?

Passing stools, once in 2 days- is found among many people and children. It is usually due to there playful activites that thier body requirements are more and hence need to be fed more frequently. However the concern over here is bleeding while stools.

So please get the your baby evaluated by a general surgeon or paediatric surgeon.

Dear worried parent,
I would like to comment that passing stools once over two days is what common in 2 yrs old baby.But you do not ignore the bleeding from anus.You can apply annovate ointment on her anal opening if it is cracked.You can also give her Liv 52 drops five drops daily , twice a day for a month to improve her digestion trouble.I have seen it helping in the similar cases as of your child.
