Infant Passing Loose Stools Immediately After Meals, Takes Multi-vitamin Syrup, Has Tooth Eruptions. Control Measure?
Dear sir, My 9 month old girl passing loose soften stool for last 10 days. She is having multi vitamin syrup twice a day prescribed by doctor for last 2 week. She is also having Vit D3 syrup & calcium suspension prescribed by our doctors. her teeth is just showing presence from from her gum. She is having cerelac twice a day . Nan 2 food for 4 times daily . In lunch she is having boiled rice , daal, carrot, beans paste. Her stool is little green, yellowish in nature, sometimes become oily & watery. Whenever child gets loose motions, the mainstay of treatment is to replace the losses of water and electrolytes in loose stools by giving oral sips of rehydrating solutions like WHO ORS, dal water, coconut water.
Probiotic and zinc can be added to treatment after consulting your Doctor.
Monitoring of hydration is important.
If the loose motions still continues or any signs of dehydration present, consulting the doctor and taking the proper medical advise is important in the management of diarrhea.
