Infant With Cold, Wheezing, Small Black Patches Body. Is HH Sone, Cetaphil Creams And Phenergan And Omnacortil Syrup Safe To Use?
Baby is 5 month old. He has got cold for nearly 60 days. Wheezing sound for nearly 45 days. He developed one large black patch covering both his bums - 30 days ago. Had consulted a doctor who prescribed Eumosone C ointment to be applied on the effected area. The crusty black patches have reduced 40% after 20 days but come in small patches in other places - Small 2-3 black circles in the legs and edge of eyes.. the large patch in the bum has not gone completely. We saw another doctor who has prescribed HH Sone cream, Cetaphil moisturising cream, Phenergan syrup half tea spoon BD, Omnacortil syrup 2 drops. Pl advise is this safe?
Hi, Thanks and welcome to HCM. Babies will have black or bluish back patches over the back a swell as buttacks. They are normal and are known as Mongolion spots. They vanish during the course of time and no treatment is necessary Regarding cold and wheezing you may give flucold drops and kufril drops 5 drops 3 times daily. If no improvement within 4-5 days consult pediatrician. Hope this answer will serve your purpose. I shall be happy to answer any more queries if required. Dr.M.V.Subrahmanyam.
