Hi

In case of diarrhea in babies it is important to rehydrate with gatorade, pedialyte or ORS-L. Also it is important to give then nutritious and thick food. Milk may be given in moderate amounts. 800 ml a day of milk is enough for 8 month old. Avoid fruit juices and sugary treats during diarrhea. To avoid recurrent diarrhea, give her hygienic food and clean drinking water.

Antibiotics are better avoided unless the diarrhea is severe, persistent or there is blood in stools.
