Infection Inside Knees With Swelling And Puss. Got Moxypen Forte Amoxycilin. How To Have A Right Dosage Of Medicine?

I do not have health insurance...I bought Moxypen Forte Amoxycilin 500 mg - 10 pack - overseas several years ago...it has an expiration date of Nov. 2010. I think I have an infection inside my knee..I fell over two weeks ago and the swelling inside now feels like puss. My 2 questions.... What are the normal daily dosages and while I understand out of date medicine may not be as strong as new medicine, money is tight. Will this medicine hurt me...other than maybe not being as strong...... .Bill

I am not interested in signing up for a monthly bill.....do you not have a "one time" question answer service for one $15 fee?

Hi,
Welcome to HCM,
You must understand every medicine has shelf life and is printed on the label, please do not consume any medicine which is already expired. In your case it was nov 2010.
If you have pus formation and infection please visit local GP and take proper prescription with local antibiotic for application locally.
You can ask question to this forum even one time.
As your infection is near knee it may involve knee joint which big problem so please visit your GP and please do not take expired medicine and they must be disposed after they are discarded properly as per local norms.
