Injured Pointer Finger In A Car Accident Previously. Advised Surgery. Chances Of Recovery?

Hi recently l was involved in a 3 car accident in which l was the middle car! l have many injuries but the one that l am having trouble with is l injured my pointer finger. l have been to a specialist and he has said it is called pointer finger, and that l need to have an operation on it. Due to the car accident being over 6 months ago now what chance do l have for complete use of my hand again?

Hi there,
If i was your doctor i will recommend you to get your x ray of hand done first and then after assesment it will be clear if u need to get operated or not. Most likely you will need to get it operated, though the chances of using your pointer finger again are less likely after the surgery but if you dont go for it the chances are zero.
