Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I fell and hit my eyebrow bone about 25 days ago. It split open and may have needed stitches but I didnt go to the doc . it has a weird line going down my face a little now, that only I notice. should I go to the doc? its not infected and healing well but I just see that like a protruding vein but it s not blue like a vein. it does nt hurt, just weird looking.
Hai,
1. Scars over face even though look prominent, heal faster compared to scars over other areas because of very good blood supply to face.
2. Usually wounds over face heal within a week. Since you are pretty sure that it is not infected and it is healing well, nothing has to be done now.
3. Since its already been 25 days, nothing can be done now. You have to accept the cosmetic look of the scar. This could have been better avoided if at all you had sutured the wound initially.
4. If you still not convinced with the look, you can consult a plastic surgeon.
