Intense Stomach Pain And Very Little Amount Of Motion Frequently. What Is The Solution?
Hi , for the last four days i have woken up and as soon as i have moved an intense stomach ache begins and i need the toilet. As soon as i go it seems to stop the pain. But i also get the pains during the day too and on an average i go 4 times a day. It is really puzzling because my stools are very little amounts but are solid still. I would like advise on this thanks
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted the history pain in abdomen, intense enough to visit the bathroom but very little comes out about 4 times in a day and for the last 4 days, stools are still solid. Such an occurrence is indicative of colitis or procto-colitis, meaning inflammation of the rectum and large bowel as it gives the intense pain. This is called tenesmus as little or nothing is coming out. I would advise you the following: Get the stool test. A course of an antibiotic, metronidazole and probiotics may help. Also take antispasmodic to control of pain. IF no relief consult Gastroenterologist as you may then need Colonoscopy.
