Intensive Hair Fall. Had Dengue Fever Previously. Treatment?
I have very intensive hair fall in end October 2013. I went for health check but everything is perfect.
according to my doctor (GP) he said hair will not just fall suddenly and asked me do i fall sick within the 100 days and i said Yes.... i got Denge fever in 6 July 2013 and he said it might be the Denge fever that cause my hair fall.
Doctor i need help - my hair is thinning and fall out everyday its like plant in the dry soil.
It take how long to stop falling. I am scare to shampoo (mild shampoo for thinning hair) my hair because my hair will just smooth out from my head.
hi. Major illnesses like dengue, malaria, typhoid etc do tend to cause hair fall which begins a few days or may be 1-2 months after the patient recovers. This is called Telogen Effluvium. The reason for this kind of hair fall is that major stress like dengue arrests the hair growth cycle (Anagen phase) and pushes it towards shedding phase (Telogen phase). So you will expereince this hair fall till all the telogen hairs are shed and the hair comes back to the Anagen phase. This recovery can take upto 6 months.
All you need is a good diet, high protein one (because hair is all protein). A biotin supplement would help.
