Irregular Bleeding, Orange Discharge. Curious? What Could Be Wrong?
I am a 50 year old woman......recently have been experiencing irregular bleeding over past couple of months (it stops and returns). I had a vaginal and sterile ultrasound done......small contour and a variant cyst . My doctor did not seemed alarmed......I am just wondering if this is change of life issues......I am experiencing an Orange (light) discharge . I also was informed that I am mild anemic. Why am I having this discharge? I am afraid to have sex because it causes bleeding. Curious?
Hi, If you have not attained menopause, the cause of this irregular bleeding could be attributed to menopausal changes as well as the cyst. If you are post menopausal, you need to be investigated further. Either way, you would need a pap smear, follow up sonograms and regular physical exam by a specialist. You would need a hormonal profile if pre-menopausal. Treatment would depend on the specific cause; removal of the cyst or hormonal supplementation etc. Please have regular monitoring and eat healthy. Hope you find this information useful. Wish you good health.
