I was on effexor for around 2 years due to anxiety & stress and i noticed my periods were becoming irregular ( coming every 3-4months ) so i figured if i want to start a family in the future i better start preparing my body.....i went to a naturopath while taking effexor to try and have my periods start again. I slowly got off effexor & 2 months after stopping my period started again! from October last year until May my periods have been a little crazy from spotting to bleeding ( colours red / dark brown) very light bleeding from heavy bleeding ) this will go for 3mths & stop for a 1 week, start again for 3mths stop again for 1 week. I have had 2 pelvic ultrasounds & both come back ok. I do have 3 fibroids but only 3cm large.

So in the last 3 years i have hand a big life style change ( left my partner of 10years) stopped going to the gym ( i used to go gym 3 days a week) diet change & started & stopped taking effexor.

I wasnt seeing any big changes with the naturopath so i have been seeing a homeopathic specialist for 4months.

My period has stopped for 2 weeks now which has been the longest time since i have stopped the Effexor. Could that constant bleeding be from the thickening of the uterus walls when i was on effexor and i wasnt getting my period monthly?

Can antidepressants cause havoc in menstration cycle?
Now that its stopped for 2 weeks im worried it wont start again! I just want it to be normal again.
