Hi - I'd 1-2 hpf pus cells in my urine test. Doctor gave me antibiotic although he said it was normal. After taking the antibiotic the test was repeated but still found 1-2 pus cells/ hpf. All the other blood test for VDRL etc are negative. Is this due to UTI?
Hi there, 1-2 pus cells in urine routine examination is absolutely normal finding and does not indicate UTI and does not need further antibiotic treatment. If you have symptoms of UTI like burning in urine, increase frequency, pain while passing urine then you can ask your doctor for a urine culture test.
