Hi, I had gone through your question and understand your concerns. I think that there was some misunderstood. Hematemesis meant that there is blood vomiting and this is caused by bleeding in upper gastrontestinal system. Bile duct stent is used for bile duct stones or obstruction and these two are rarely related. Stent of this size is appropriate if it leaves bile duct open and usually is. Hematemesis should be treated by finding the exact cause of bleeding and then interventional methods are required for management. If there is however, hematobilia then it may indicate bleeding from the liver or bile duct and in this case a bit thicker stents should be used. Hope this answers your question. If you have additional questions or follow up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your questions.
Wishing you good health.
