General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi, I understand your query. On an average half Kgs per week is average weight gain in pregnancy. Total average weight gain in 9 months is 11 Kgs.So your weight gain at this stage is alright. Is your original weight 190 lbs at present? If so, it is on higher side. I would advuse you to get Glucose tollarance/ Thyroid function done- to exclude diabetes, thyroid problem-which are likely to cause increased weight gain in later months of pregncy. Thanks.
