Is Akurit-4 Tablet The Right Medicine For Chronic Cough?
Hi, I am 23 year old male. I am having cough from last one month. I went to a doctor he advised me to go for chest X-Ray. In that report it is showing that ill defined opacity noted in left mid zone Probably infective process (?Koch s) . And Sputum test shows Negative. But doctor suggested me to take Akurit-4 Daily 4 tablets before breakfast. Please tell me that is the infection related to TB? and is there any problem in taking those many tablets?.
Hi I appreciate your concern for the Akurit-4 medicine.
Apparently you are suffering from lung TB as reflected in the form of chronic cough, Chest x ray findings, etc. A negative sputum for AFB (the bacteria responsible for causing TB) does not mean that you do not have TB.
So, your doctor has started Akurit-4 medicine for a period a period of 2-3 months then followed by Akurit-2 for 4-6 months.,
Usually there is no problem while taking these medications. However if you get pain abdomen and yellowish discoloration of the skin or eyes, you must report to your doctor immediately.
Best of your health.
