Is Anovate Ointment Helpful In Treating Hemorrhoids?
Dear Doctor, I just observed that i am having some swelling near the anal. It never happend to me before and i think this is piles. I can see a 1 inch worm like swelling near anal which is in red colour. I just contacted my doctor and he told me to take below medicines. Tab O2, Tab Voveran SR and Anovate Ointment. Could someone please suggest whether this is right treatment for the type of piles i have mentioned. Thanks in advance, Arshad

Haemorrhoids are also known as Piles and the symptoms of bump sticking out from anus along with pain seem to be due to it.
Haemorrhoids are inflamed and swollen veins that are formed when there is continuous irritation of the veins present in the rectum area and inflammation can lead to pain and bleeding during bowel evacuation.
The treatment advised to you is appropriate as the application of steroid and numbing ointment like Anovate helps in reducing pain and inflammation and is very helpful.
-Sitz bath that is sitting in warm water tub especially after bowels can very much help.
-High fibre diet along with laxatives like Polyethylene glycol and stool softeners like Docusate to maintain proper bowels.
-Avoid spicy food and drink plenty of water.
