Is Aristada Compulsory To Treat Schizophrenia While On Lithium And Abilify?
My 55 year old son was diagnosed as bi-polar 30 years ago. He seems to cycle this time of year about every 2 years. This time has been really rough and he was told he now also is schizophrenic and the dr wants him to get shots of Aristada. I am not sure what his other meds are but know he has been on lithium for a long time. Does this sound like something he should do. He has taken Abilify shots in the past also when he cycles.

Aristada is Aripiprazole and is an antipsychotic drug. Abilify is also Aripiprazole. But Aristada is available as long acting injectable preparation.
If with Lithium and Abilify tablets his symptoms are persisting then you can think of starting Aristada shots. This should help him.

having aristada shots it is good for psychosis / schizophrenia
also for fixed beliefs or voices he can go for cognitive behavioural therapy
exercise regularly
