Hi Doctor, I am 20 weeks pregnant. I was called in for a anatomy scan today. The scan results were normal except that the sonologist told me that there is increased bilateral uterine resistance. And has asked for a review by 24th week. I have been prescribed aspirin in low dosage till the delivery period. But, the content over the internet is a little disturbing. I just want to know the facts in and out of this complication. Like why does this happen? how risky my pregnancy can be? will the baby do fine? is there a chance of very early delivery? I am mentally very disturbed after i came to know about this. Truly appreciate your help with this regard.
HI Well come to HCM I really appreciate your concern, it is not the Aspirin but no medicine is safe in pregnancy unless it is extremely indicated where the question of health of pregnancy is concern, you can have a word with doctor and better to ask how much this is safe and how much this is needed, and for what it is being prescribed, or you can have second opinion, hope this information helps, take care and have a nice day.
