Your father is mostly having chronic
bronchitis. And at present, he is having uncontrolled bronchitis. Bronchitis needs regular treatment.
Asthalin is having
salbutamol. It is short acting beta 2 agonist. It's action lasts for only 2 hours.
It should not be used as regular drug.
For regular maintenance treatment, your father needs long acting inhaled bronchodilators and inhaled corticosteroid (ICS).
Oral combination of antihistamine and anti allergic drugs are also useful.
So better to
consult pulmonologist for your father and discuss all these.
Newer long acting inhaled bronchodilators are having excellent effect in bronchitis.
Asthalin should not be his regular drug.
