Hello,my name is dr,Dorina Gurabardhi.I understand your concern. Ativan is prescribed for several important reasons, including the treatment of anxiety. Ativan should be used for only a short time lke four weeks maximum. There are 0.5 mg, 1 mg, and 2 mg tablets available..For anxiety, most patients require an initial dose of 2 to 3 mg/day.You can try with a 2 mg tablet before bedtime initially and then if it is nessesary you can aument the dosage. Of course it is better to consult a specialist for more information. Hope my answer was helpful,if you have any other question I will be glad to answer, thanks!
